It seems as though these dreamers are EVERYWHERE. I just came across another ad on facebook marketplace listing an antique carpenter's bench for sale. He wants $3,500 for it, and the description in the ad appears below the photo. For reference, I bought a similar work bench with
two original vises mounted on it (but no base) for $50 several years ago.

Circa 1880-1910 Maple Carpenter's workbench. Unit has a dropped down small tool area running the entire length with angled "pick-up" pieces at each end. Bench dog holes run the length of the work top. The all-wood vice works perfectly and is a marvel of design complete with dovetail construction. Truly a conversation piece. Just finished restoration. Could be used as a kitchen island, wine tasting table, foyer (needs a large room) table, office entry designer piece, lake house feature piece or many other commercial building / restaurant / winery / brew house designer uses as well as just a workbench. Table is 7' long - 29" wide and 34" high. Extremely stable with no loose joints. I will not entertain low-ball offers. I can be contacted at 5-eight-five-two-3-0-five-thousand.
