This is a GREAT thread! Congrats on the major remodel, you have a beautiful finished home!
My wife and I completed a basement floor to roof remodel of our home that took two years to complete so I can relate to your pain! LOL Looking back, we probably should have just started over with a new build (would have been cheaper and faster), but our kids have grown up in our house and we wanted some continuity in their lives. It turned out better than we could have ever imagined, but it was a trying time when all 6 of us had to live in 800 sq. Feet for a year!
Awesome build you should be very proud of!

As one of the few females on this site some of the stuff is not native or something I have done before. Can you tell me how you powered up the car radio to work in the garage? I've got one that I want to power up in my garage.

She did deserve the dog! I used a power supply out of an old computer I had laying around to convert outlet power to 12 volts

Sorry, it,s been a while. And I am not real good at documenting the things I do, so this update may be all over the place. But it's an update none the less.

I am finally getting around to building the work bench. Part of the top is an old bowling alley floor, and the other part is 1/4 steel. This is how we attached the steel top through the plywood base.

The plan is to eventually add a border around the outside to tie the whole thing together, but it seems like there is always something more important that needs to be done.

We added jacks, wheels, and adjustable feet to make the table mobile. This idea was borrowed from garage journal - thanks! Works awesome and looks cool.

We've also been busy adding cabinets/equipment, and trying to organize the huge amount of **** that has filled the garage. You will also notice that the garage has been painted a light gray, which really makes the garage look bright, and finished.

And as far as landscaping goes - this is a look at the back yard. The porch still isn't done, but making progress. And this past spring, I kickstarted the project with a new patio off of the back porch. Went with bluestone with a granite border. It was backbreaking, but rewarding. Then we had the backyard graded, loam brought in, firepit, hydroseed, and sprinkler. Not perfect, but looking finished.

I did manage to coat the screened porch ceiling. Also did some wiring and put up the ceiling fan.

And yet another project. This was my first car, which has been off the road since 1995. She needs a lot of attention. I am hoping to find someone reasonably priced to do the bodywork, but I'm having sticker shock so far.

It's a deathtrap with only front side pull brakes. Just have to steer! All the drift trikes I saw were modern looking, so I decided to go with the old school, rat rod look! The seat is made out of a gear lube barrel, which I shot a few times with an AK-47 to add some character. These things are a blast.

Very cool stuff!!! Add some "v brakes" to the trike they are effective, low cost and only take 5 minutes to install.

I looked into that. I just don't know how to attach them to the fork, unless I make some type of bracket. I also thought about a front disc, but don't think that 60 year old fork is designed for that kind of force.
