So I sold a starter/manifold obstacle wrench for 8 bucks. Buyer is willing to pay $17.00 for shipping to Sweden.....Am I missing something here?

That is because shipping from US is expensive, not because the part is special.I sold an old Lionel train for like $15 and shipping was $40 to old world Europe.

^ there have been at least one or two more of the " -V- " or " =V= " 1/4" drive socket sets posted daily for the last several days now.

^ If that were indeed true, there wouldn't be the glut of them currently listed on Ebay - at least one or two 1/4" drive sets are listed daily (over the course of the last two months), and most have been compromised; either they're missing pieces or other production code pieces have been put in to replace the originals. Very few of them are all original, matched, complete sets.
And if buyers were "lining up" for them, why aren't the cherries being snapped up, and why (inexplicably) are buyers bidding on the turkeys and seemingly missing the good stuff?
Why would somebody bid $29 + $10 shipping on a rusty, missing pieces POS set like THIS? >>

... When two days ago I snagged a complete, in-the-original box, all =V= set (with "flying V" butterfly ratchet) for $24 including shipping?
There is no shortage of Craftsman -V- or =V= stuff out there scattered all across the country in garages, basements, repair shops, thrift shops, pawn shops, and grandma's pantry.
That any of it is "vintage" or "rare" or that any of it should command the kind of prices being paid are all absurd notions.
if they were "lining up" to buy them, why's this one still listed:
Craftsman 13-piece 1/4" drive 6-point socket set w/box
sockets, ratchet, breaker, extension, box
mixed -V- and =V=
re-listed 12/30/15 for the third time
$37.50 + $5.95 shipping. 0 bids. auction ends Today 5:30 PM PST

I bet that 40$ was the only shipping choise he had.
Tell me about it! I'm constantly searching for a cheap 1/4" drive deep 1/8" socket. $4 for a Napa one, $8 for SK. Shipped to me in the UK, $65!
