Crick Level

I know there are a lot of mechanics here, but perhaps there are a few carpenters, as well? If so, has anyone here used a Crick level? Here is the website:

Solid wood, made in the USA, they look beautiful from the pictures...but they are not cheap. Anyone ever laid their hands on one? Used one? Thinking about pulling the trigger....

i have used them. a large part of their customer base is from masons. they are excellent quality. but u might find the weight cumbersome for general use. i would recommend stabila levels. starrett also makes some nice ones that stand out in a crowd.

Crick is nice and made in the USA which I like, however I do not think anyone touches the Stabillas. Damn Germans

I've got a Stabila sp? 48in that i use regularly. got a Stanley that i let the help use!!.

I've got a half dozen Stabila levels between 16", 24" 48", 59", and a couple of magnetic torpedoes. Pricey - Yes. Dead on accurate - Every Time.

My 3 good levels are all wood and older than me...

the 4 footer is "cased' in brass, the 2 footer has brass caps. I can't find the shorter one just now...
