I just wanted to post this to get some reactions from y'all.
I restored a triple bay Snap-on box a few months ago in this thread.

I put a lot of hours into it and it turn out great. I did sell it and still happy I did. I wasn't happy about watching it get loaded up like this...... I just had to turn away..
Here's the box first off.

Right at 8 foot long and 6 feet tall

When they pulled up with a 5x8 ENCLOSED uhaul trailer....
I said to myself.. "No way in hell... Better make sure you get the money before they start loading"

No idea how they got that top box off with just them two.

Get ready to cringe....

That bottom roller didn't leave much room for the top box, it got shoved in there with no room to spare, slid on the concrete, and pried in with a pry bar. The locker they were going to slide on top of the bottom box but decided to put it in back of the pickup.
I hate to see a box I put so much hard work into get treated like that but I guess it happens.

Dang... But I guess if you got the cash and got the price you wanted... At least they weren't delivering it instead of picking it up!

Ouch! I looked at the thread you linked. You had your work cut out for you; the repairs were well done and the finished product looked fantastic. That said, it always ***** to see something in which you've invested time and effort being mistreated.

I guess if you agreed on a price, it doesn't matter what they do to it. Sad to see just the same, I'm sure you would have rather sold it to someone that appreciated it.

After seeing the resto thread it's hard to watch this carelessness. Sorry for your loss.

That ***** and is hard to watch. I had spent way too many hours fixing up and painting an 80 gallon compressor to watch it get slid into a pickup truck bed with stucco lathe and brick scraps... The scraping sounds still stings a little

Funny how people treat their possessions differently. When I sold one of my vintage MX bikes, a semi restored enduro, the guy wheeled it up a ramp into his truck and then abruptly threw it on its side. I handed him a large bottle of 2 stroke oil I used to run in it as well as a set of plugs. To which he asked me "what is this?" I'd be surprised if that bike is still running.

Yeah, people like that blow my mind. I'm and audiovisual technician by trade. The guys I work with just throw everything around. Our equipment is in terrible shape and we have a lot of problems with it at times, but so much of it is in the kind of condition that you just know it was from careless handling.

They paid for the right to treat it the way they like, maybe that was the best they could come up with for hauling it and did what they needed to get it done.

I do agree that it ***** seeing that, a coworker wants to buy my sled that i've taken good care of and 1st thing he'll do is rip the engine out for his sled and part the rest of it and i can't stomach the thought of selling to him.
