According to their calculations about 35lbs worth.

How much stuff did you order?

How bout a list of what you was buying so we can Honestly judge the shipping cost? Ive ordered a couple packages from Cripe within the last Month and havent noticed any exxagerated shipping charges.

I've placed 5 orders in the last 5 months, and I've noticed their shipping prices slowly increasing. The biggest came when they got away from FedEx sometime around the holidays. My last order, I almost didn't place because of shipping costs.
Did you order any unusual sized items? 4 ft. levels, and the like?

3-500 pcs Wire Nuts
10-25packs screw bits
1-250 pcs screw bits
2-Sets of wrenches
4- Asst Electrical testers
2-saw blades
10-Asst sockets on rails
4- small screwdriver packs
A handful of other random small items.
Nothing large or big and heavy. I guess I've been spoiled by Enco's free shipping.![]()

That's a fair assessment . . . :
Just got my order in yesterday. 8 piece Armstrong screwdriver set and a 25'' Armstrong pry bar. Weight was just shy of 3lbs and shipping was $10.86 to Georgia.
For those wondering about condition. The pry bar has shelf wear on the handle with a small scratch, blade is unused. Screwdrivers were still wrapped in plastic but the cheap little holder had broken tabs so it was basically useless.
Happy with the overall transaction and would order again.
I don't see how it's fair. The guy didn't even elaborate. If you're going to slam a company on-line at least give all the details. Otherwise it's a cheap shot and one that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Just thought I would share my experience with Cripe Distributing.
I made six purchases via eBay, some multiple counts per item. They discounted shipping for each additional item for multiple items. I purchased the KD Torx brake set (2x), Allen Hex sockets (2x), KD hose clamp pliers (3x), Gearwrench 1/4" metric universal impacts, 1/4" Armstrong locking impact extensions. All told, my bill was $153 plus $49 for shipping!
I paid the bill almost immediately, but sent a message to the seller asking them to consider lowering the shipping charge. I received an email from "Deb" stating the following:
"once your order is packed and shipped i will take a look at the actual shipping and refund you any overpayment you may have made"
Two days later, I get confirmation from my PayPal account of a partial shipping refund of $32!
I thought I was treated more than fairly, in my opinion, but others may see it otherwise. I would probably order from them again.
Hope this helps a few members out there.

Well, I have an update on my order. Four days after placing the order and paying in full, I got an email saying the number one I item I absolutely wanted was out of stock. I canceled the entire $120 order at that point as I was not amused.
It's pretty obvious that orders placed online do not lower the quantity available on the website. Until inventory online matches what you order in real time, I doubt I'll waste a hour digging through the website again.
The alternative theory would be that while they sat on my already paid order Monday until Thursday, they sold the inventory out from under me. Either way, I'll pass until they are more professional.![]()
I was about to order from Cripes but when I clicked on Checkout and saw this:

I changed my mind. Is this what others have paid for shipping? I think paying approx 1/4 of the total for shipping as my cheapest option is ridiculous. After reading that people here thought the shipping was high I figured it would have been around $20 not $80.![]()

That shipping charge via ebay is why I didn't originally buy the 4 or 5 sets of Armstrong they had before Christmas. Had I known they'd have refunded the overcharges, I'd have gone through with it![]()

This reply just proves my point that I stated . . . Any other stupid Q's you want to offer up?![]()
It wasn't a question. It was a statement.
Your reply proves my point: that you have actually have to marshal some evidence if you're going to slag a company. You didn't do it in either prev. post. But this time, you cited you a few others to back your assertion. You're learning.
