I checked the price list like 5 times. You guys can't be telling me the socket rail and clips cost more than the sockets themselves ...

Who cares? Buy them before someone notices they posted dealer prices on the individual sockets ;)

The reason I did this is because I like to use the (A265) 7 inch Snap-on rails for 1/4"DR. sockets and I already had some extras. :dunno:

^ I'm using the price list Mike has on his site right now. :dunno:

fyi, some things on there are goofy, and don't even pull up the right tools. He has somebody currently going through it. I looked a few days ago, and some things weren't even in the right category, or listed at all.

I got the price for set GAAQ1301 off an 83 page PDF.

Here's a screen shot:

Merk,

there may be a mistake with the PDF files in some cases. I was trying to somehow get prices to everyone back then when I knew that a new site was going to take some time.
The screen shot prices do not match my cuurent price list when I look it up for myself.
I show the price...in mirror finish to be higher on the 0804 socket by 10 cents.

The price you show is for the old prices that I locked in for the wish lists. And when I bring up the price from the website's current PDF, it shows the correct price. SO the 33 cent price is coming from an old PDF that was saved, or from a wrong PDF found on my site somewhere.

Since the PDFs are so time consuming, and the shopping cart being close to done....I will pull all the pdfs off the website so there will be zero confusion from here on until the shopping cart is functional.

One other point, those two sets ARE different. One says satin finish, one says chrome.
Also the post from dled.....has the old price list. ANd I found the error as well. On the sockets page the third price sheet listed is wrong as was mistakenly posted by my internet folks. The price sheet for hand sockets (2) seems to be the correct one.
Sorry for the error.

Ahhh. I see, but why the same part number?

The HELL it does!

That was pulled from your website this morning!

Thank you very much!

Learn to read before being a jerk. I said, and he said, that some things are wrong on the website. It's currently being redone.

You should apply that theory to yourself.

I read your post, and his....genius.

If there is two different lists on his website, how can he say the one with lower prices is "old".

That is NOT the customer's problem.

ahh yes.......I realize that it is a very big mistake on my part. But the correct prices and the wrong prices are both unfortunately available on that part of the site. The first list seems out of place, the second seems correct, and the third is wrong. All will be pulled off the site shortly so someone will have to call if they want a price quote. Not the most efficient but the shopping cart will be up very soon!

again sorry for the darn mistake......won't be my last I'm afraid!

sincerely,

I also find it odd that such an arrogant person as yourself would call someone a jerk. Half your posts are bitching at other folks....for having a freaking opinion.

To many assholes here for me!

Have fun with your Taiwan tools.

If you can ever figure the prices out!

Dude dealing with Mike is nothing but first rate, He is in the process of trying to get his website up to date to make it easier for us, along with being first rate he also offers a 20% discount to GJ members. If you have a question about a item You can contact him via his telephone number and email address and he will get back to you on the exact price.

if you read reviews of toptul he mentioned that prices were going up slightly starting dec 08 i think...so its very possible to have gotten prices off the "old" list

I don't think i would worry myself over something so small as a pdf price list i would look at what i wanted get the part numbers as well as the name and ask for a quote.
I have to give him points that he has been giving people on here great service, which if you ask me more then makes up for a not so good web page. Plus it is in the works so it can only get better

They why is it still there?

You can't put two prices up and pick and choose at your lesuire which to honor.

the site is still under construction...he could have easily just not put prices on the site period and then he would have 35735897252 phone calls a day asking for quotes

Does it kill you to ask the man for a price quote on stuff before trying to be an ***? Maybe the company it self has not given out new price list to its dealers yet.

I beleive you. Page upon page of good comments.

My point remains the same though.

That website is real bad, and has been under construction for quite some time. Fixing it would help him alot.

Telling customers, "Sorry, the list you are looking at is old"....when it was pulled that day is not a good business practice.

He more than makes up for it the first time you talk/deal with him. He makes himself available via email in a timely manner. But he is in fact trying to get his online website up as fast as he can and Did i mention "HE GIVES A 20% DISCOUNT TO GJ MEMBERS" But it doesnt help calling people assholes and grouping all tawian tools into the same basket.

I havnt ordered from Mike yet, but it is easy to see that he is trying his hardest to get everything running smooth. People need to stop giving him a hard time. It takes time to build a business, and the fact that he is nice enough to give GJ members a discount is a big bonus.

exactly. its not that hard to look through the site and pick out what you want...the pictures work! i always put everything i want in a neat organized spreadsheet with the part number and price that i saw it as. along with the total and a description of what the item is just for clarification...if theres ever a problem mike alerts me immediately if he doesnt have it or if its a different price. its not that hard to use excel :p

You're absolutely out of line here. Nissan is a stand up guy and calls it the right way. And Mike has helped many of us on GJ. You need to go away and find another forum to spew your venom.

Cruiser,

I belong to a bunch of forums. Some of which I have thousands of posts on. So what?

They all have a guy like Nissan, who is never wrong, will argue anything until blue in the face....and believes that post count is somehow related to intelligence and experience.

I have read hundreds of his posts. Many of them have had great value. But I also see that he fits this profile perfectly...internet *******. So I called it like I see it. Oh well. Nothing gained, nothing lost. Folks like that are usually a whole lot nicer when not hiding behind a keyboard anyway.

Perhaps I was a little harsh with my first post to Mike. I'll acknowledge that. However, it is 2009. Web sales COULD account for a HUGE portion of his business. I have designed a few websites, and none took months. If his webmaster is screwing him around, he needs to find a new one because it is costing him big money.

He has tools I want....but I can't dring myself to order from that internet circus he is running.

The bottom line:

If ANYONE from this board walked into a Sears and the retailer refused to honor the posted price, citing that it was old....it would turn into a 25 page thread about how Sears has gone to pot. You can insert ANY business in place of Sears....it wouldn't be tolerated by this crew.

deldinger...you're right ...I get it.
The company you own and run must run flawlessly.....

Well, not sure what to say to that. Based on all the comments about your business ethics, I expected you would this better than a smart mouthed reply.

Good luck to you Mike.
