Got a new faucet set with auxiliary sprayer, so thinking about cutting a new hole. Any advice on cutting porcelain covered steel sink welcomed.

I would suggest getting one with the sprayer built into the regular faucet. Cutting that hole is going to be risky.
Search for "pull down faucet":

This might be the first thread ever where somebody has come here asking for advice, didn't get the answer they were hoping for, and decided to take the advice given. Bravo good Sir.....so no pull out sprayer it is.......
That would cause cracks form uneven heating. This is a glass coating.I would heat the area up with a heat gun first so the enamel isn't as brittle.
If your going to do that it may be cheaper just to buy the correct sink.Hire a professional so you can avoid any blame for mishaps.
if you screw it up, she can get the new stainless sink she always wanted.
I'll be waiting for a full report in triplicate.I too will be drilling the 2, porcelain /cast iron sinks, in our kitchen. This to install soap despencesors.
I bought a diamond hole-saw, and a HSS speed hole-saw, on Amazon. I'll report back when I get it done. No idea when.
....Seal up the cast when done.
