I have a few tall vidmar boxes to cut down to work bench height.
I've been reluctant to start, thinking it would be a lousy chore.
Needing to build a miter saw station, I got started and finished cutting one down.
It was a walk in the park, drill out a couple dozen spot welds, grind a few short welds on the inside of the cabinet, remove top, cut the sides and back down, set the top back on and plug weld the holes.
All tolled,it took less than 2 hours.
I did not reinstall the anti-tip mechanism, so that would add some time, if you wanted that feature.
If you need to cut one down, don't be scared like I was, it is really easy.
