Also, forgot to mention...

This past weeks since I moved:

- I have learned to solder copper
- I have learned to bond PVC
- "hacked" and self taught my way into the automation system since the guys doing it are too busy to finish it
- Currently learning how to clean irrigation valves and sprinklers because they don't go up with 45psi pressure ????...
- Water tank emptied because they blocked the auto filling valve and when I checked, it was so empty I could see the bottom and the sides full of mud, so getting all the tools to clean it.

and while all this is to fix issues, it has been quite a pleasure, so enjoyable and gratifying!

LCG, have you considered other DIY projects? You could probably profit from a colonoscopy to check for those finishing touches that may have been misplaced during those bent-over discussions with the subcontractors.

Ok, plenty good, plenty bad, but I will leave that for a time when I have internet at the new house.

Today I just want to say... windows have been licked.

plenty of we had nothing boxes still all around the house.

If licking the windows was inspired by the Windowlicker video by Aphex Twin, then this build was even stranger than came across in the thread.

LCG,
it is 2 AM in the morning here and I have to wake up at 6 tomorrow/today.

I started on page 1 more or less 4 hours ago and I am glued to this topic. Man, this journey has been a life lesson.

Not much about your house because damm it's beautiful but more about your sense of humor. The lightness with which you face problems and even you angriness are nothing short of life examples. It was even tougher to read Major's reply.

@Major, I sincerely wish all turn out for the better buddy!

I started my construction here in Brazil in the end of 2015. My condo fines constructions longer than 2yrs. I got financing/decisions/styling/material/all sorts of issues and in September 2017 I'd say I'm still around 70% complete. Won't complain anymore, you had it worse.

Someone just linked your thread in mine bringing me here by saying it was a fun journey. I visit Mexico often and considering that you're in the oil business, depending on your ERP you may be my customer :)

I mean to say that I work around Mexicans and I love the way you guys see life. With all the problems in the world many of you go for the joking route. It is very relaxing and pleasant to be around people like you.

Congrats on moving in! Big kiss to the wife and beautiful daughter. Hope you now tell even funnier jokes in your amazing new home!!! Super padre guey!

LCG, so good to see you have moved on, and in, to your home. I see Bob is keeping your spirit up with helpful advice and that you are so gracious in using it to move forward. I half expected to see you putting together a bowling alley for the garage, instead of a table top! Home( we can call it that now, right) is looking wonderful!
Good to see you back to GJ!

This thread is SO in need of an update!

This is my new year resolution

I concur. Now that his BMW is painted he should have plenty of time to post about the house. :lol_hitti

If only it was that easy

Since I stopped lurking in the shadows and started posting a few weeks ago, I'll make the most of it and say that it would be very much appreciated to see how this house and the garage are doing LC.

Asking to see any progress on the P-car or the Bimmer, may be a little too much, no?

your friendly neighborhood, JPK :p
