Looks like a great day!
I thought you never had to change those Honda engines though.......

It was a pretty slick operation watching them change that engine out, after removing the cowl and unhooking the pluming, there was like six nuts on the gear box and then was removed, then another six bolts or so for the engine? Then the engine was ready to come out...not as easy as I made it sound

but it went pretty fast....I did watch one of the mechanics drop one of the radiators onto the floor
Wow great thread, I cant believe this is the first Im seeing it. My girlfriend and I do a ton of antiquing so this thread really speaks to me. Keep it up.

Wow thanks for the compliments...I really enjoy hunting and collecting the vintage petroliana and vintage industrial looking items, I do have to be careful though DaBarn is only 30' x 40'
Nice shots of the indy pits. Congrats on making the trip.
In my past life I had 6 tickets to the Indy 500 every year from 1992 - 1999. They included pit passes (Great fun)
My good friend has owned 12 tickets, and has since 1962. He would sell me 6 of them each year until I sold the business.
I sat right above those bricks you showed, all the way to the top (the padock)
right next to the the flagman.

Living in Indiana I have been to a few races and a few of the time trials in the past, but this was the first time I was inside one of the garages and I was aloud to rome up and down pit road and stroll threw gasoline ally, gives you a whole different perspective of the place
Nice time at Indy!
Very cool and thanks for sharing

Thanks for the visit! I enjoyed catching up on your thread the other day...Just had a great day at Indy. I have always been a big fan and never miss a race on TV...In fact it has become somewhat of a tradition in Dabarn on memorial day....any excuse to throw a party and drink beer with my friends

Thanks for the visit to DaBarn...I was talking to one of the pit crew members at Indy and I was asking him questions about the paint job on their car and he was saying that its just carbon fiber wrapped in vinyl...I thought that was interesting....stretch wrap at 220 MPH
BF, Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Awesome transformation on the table. Cody will love it. Top is absolutely fantastic. I'm sure he'll appreciate the Coleman also.
Nice gates clamp rack, it'll fit into your museum nicely.
