Tony, that's a nice lantern. We loaned out the nickel-plated Coleman 50D my parents gave us and it was never returned. Only one we have left is a rusty 228H. It's still the best emergency light when the power goes out for more than a day. I love your dad's '54 and the dual carb intake brings back great memories. I picked up a dual 2-barrel setup for my '56 Chevy 235 stovebolt. With a solid lifter 3/4 race cam, 0.030 overbore and high compression pistons it was pretty strong for back in the day. I always hoped I'd get another straight six to hop up but the 4,678th time Liane asked me why I hadn't sold it, I cleaned it up and sold it on Hotrodders.com.
As an extra enticement I offered two fuel line setups: a single feed-through line setup and a dual line fuel block setup.
A cool feature on the Edmunds Custom manifold was the exhaust manifold heater box delete -- it used engine coolant routed parallel to the interior heater setup. It also had two vacuum connections, one for the distributor and another for the windshield wiper motor. Note the lack of an EGR connection.
