Does anybody here have a Dairex Assassin polisher? This is a stone polishing tool. I'm having trouble finding an air fitting for it. It's not 1/8th inch pipe.
1/4 bspp according to the manual
1/8 bspp for the water inlet as well
...The ones on Amazon are pipe threads--I already drove the local NAPA guys nuts looking for a quick-connect pipe thread that would work. But no dice.
Ouch. Is it really BSPP and BSPT?
This might do the trick:

For the water, I'd use a plastic fitting (like schedule 80 PVC) and force the threads to just work.
No, they wouldn't fit. I spent a lot of time at NAPA trying. Couldn't even get the threads to start.
Those are BSP (British Standard, Pipe), which is different than BSPP (British Standard, Parallel Pipe)
NAPA has BSP threaded fittings? I wouldn't expect that.
Yes, I understand. The difference is ONLY in the taper. A male BSP fitting can be crammed into a female BSPP bore. It won't fit well, and it won't engage on too many threads, but it may work well enough for these purposes.
The difference between BSPT and BSPP is analogous to the difference between NPT and NPS.
and neither of which will make an airtight seal if engaged to one another.
