After 6-weeks of delays, my new Dewalt 30-gallon compressor was dropped off by the freight company. Unfortunately I wasn't home so someone at the house just signed for it. 2 issues:
1) It was shipped on its side and the oil leaked out the fill spout (sight glass is not empty but it's low). It could have been worse as it was shipped sight glass / fill spout down, rather than the other way around, so half upside down rather than fully upside down if that makes a difference.
Either way I'm going to let it sit for a few days to drain.
2) There was no damage to the box, but the left wheel bracket that is welded to the tank is bent leaving the wheel about 1/2" off the ground, and likely the tank is dented in slightly also. The weld shows some signs of stress (paint is off). Besides the fact that it will drive me nuts since it now wobbles, is there any risk of tank failure because of that? Can I hammer it back down or bad idea?
