Run Forrest! RUN!
I've got a few Dasco chisels/punches that I've bought in the past. They're OK, but nothing to right home about.
I snagged an assortment of new Mexican made Urrea center punches a while back that had a low price and seem to be as good a quality as any I ever owned.
I'm still using Proto, Williams, and Snap-on, punches and chisels from the 50's and 60's that my father bought and from the 70's, and 80's that I bought. A good piece of steel is a good piece of steel, regardless of the name on it.
A lot of people make the mistake of not using starter punches. As a result, they bend or break their regular pin punches. "Intermediate length" punches made from bent or proken pin punches will help save your good pin punches too, and take very little effort to make.
You can never have enough punches and chisels. Seriously. Never.
