hello all, This is a great website! I've used it before to find out info on tools. Tonight I decided to quit lurking and join up so I could ask a question.
This is my grandpas old machinist box. I've had it for about 20-25 years. I only have a close up pic of the emblem at the moment. Any ideas on what year it might be?

I scrolled down the list of topics this morning and thought "hey, somebody wants to date their tool bo...........oh." I should've worded that better. I see I wasn't the only one who thought that. ;)

Thanks for the links fellas. The box is the same as the two links. I don't see the top of the box where it sits but if I remember correctly the handle is like the red one. So I'm going to guess it was made late in the '40s-'57 window.

Cool. ;)
I was trying to remember if there were any tools in this box or the craftsman bottom box when I brought them home. I think they were empty except a micrometer he left in there. I think he kept his tools and I put my tools in there when I got home.

The diamond logo above was registered for in 1932.

I have an S-K TOOLS chrome emblem from a toolbox that I believe dates to the 1960s, and I need some verification if possible... crazy I can find out about 1932 but can't find this logo!

truth be told I am sure a more then a few of us would pick our tool boxes over some of the girls we have dated.
