Dayton heater wiring help

I have an old Dayton natural gas heater that I’m trying to wire up. It will be a few days before my brother can come over and perform this for me (He does HVAC for a living).

There are red, black, & yellow wires leading to what I believe are the limit switches. Two black wires to fan motor. A black & white to transformer (24V). Two red wires to gas valve (IIRC terminals “TW” & “TH”)

To summarize:

To limit switches
RED
BLK
YEL

Fan motor
BLK
BLK

Transformer
WHT
BLK

Gas valve
RED
RED

Alright, figured it out:

Hot needs to be hooked up to the BLK lead that feeds the 2 switches, high limit & fan switch. High limit RED lead feeds the hot of transformer, which is normally closed. Fan switch YEL lead feeds hot leg of fan motor, which is normally open.

Transformer 24V side goes to thermostat then gas valve.

I can post the schematic if it will help anyone else.

Unit is a Dayton model no. 3E839-1 serial no. 6665230

Alright, figured it out:

I know this is an old thread but I’d you still have the schematic it would be a lifesaver
