Several years ago I picked up a Dealership workbench from an ad on Craig's list. Posted some photos on here. Put it up on furniture dollies and shuffled it in and out of my way for several years. About a year ago one of my friends had some credit built up with a local media blaster. He gave the credit to me. That got me moving. Began removing all the sheet metal, then took it down to the blaster. I repaired and painted the basic angle iron frame while the blaster did his magic. Talked another friend into painting it for a reasonable fee. He has a small shop and as with most painters . . . it was on his schedule.
All the bare sheet metal was shuffled to the painter and after a bit of bodywork, was primed and eventually painted. I selected pretty traditional colors and they match my '65 Corvair convertible. Cool Vanilla with a dark red strip to match the interior. For the last couple of weeks I have been putting everything back together. Picked up the hand lettered marque sign this morning so time for some photos. If everything works there should be a before photo along with a couple of the cabinet as it is today. May even slip in a photo of the Corvair.
