I was initially using a very expensive Delta Q QuiQ Model 913-4810-E3B charger............which I am not sure is/was working properly. The battery charge level icon on his Delta charger never went above two bars, even after an extended period of time charging.

So, I found and bought an EzGo 48V PowerWise QE charger (915-4810)..........my other cart uses an EzGo PowerWise and its bullet proof, never had an issue with it

I plug in the new EzGO charger and the charger flashes green, as it should..........however, the cart itself does not flash green (near the charging port/seat area).

When using the other Delta charger, the cart itself does flash green when its plugged in/charging.

How long should the PowerWise charger take to fully charge a 48V system?

Should BOTH the cart and the charger be flashing green when its charging? My other cart does

Finally figured it all out

The previous owner had the wiring a tad messed up and I needed to move the wiring for the charging port to two different batteries

Both the charger and the cart charging port are now both flashing green

Really the charging wires should be on opposite sides of the bank. If you have more than one charging source it should be opposite of the other. It's a bit hard to explain with oit a diagram.

Is what your saying is one battery or pair was very well charged and the other not so much?

sell the electric car and get a gas car

problem solved

batteries every few years, you will hate it the 2nd time you have to put batteries in

if (when) the controller dies you will hate it

if (when) the motor dies, you will hate it

when a battery shorts internally, and explodes, you won't hate it. You will despise it assuming you survive if you are on it when it goes boom

The last example is what happened to me. BIG explosion and have lifetime health issues because of it (burns on face, neck, back, permanent hearing loss)

if you have 6 batteries you have 12 terminals that you need to keep squeaky clean. Many cables to keep up with (zero corrosion). Of course you have to stay on top of the batteries too, maintenance items and you will replace them every about 5 years if you are good about charging and not overcharging them. That is assuming the charger works properly. The frame/holder under all the batteries tends to rust out. The frame rusts out. Then you're back to fabricating a new frame/holder, unless yours is plastic (some of them are).

replace the batteries with what they manfacturer of the charger recommends; sometimes changing brands can cause issues (charger is considered specific). Seen quite a few guys say I ain't paying your high price for batteries and they go buy their own from wherever and the charger overcharges them, or doesn't charge them at all in one case so you have to be mindful there too.

everything about electric golf cars *****

seen many cause trailer fires in race car trailers, seat comes off while bouncing around in the trailer and shorts a pair of batteries, causes fire, takes out tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of uninsured race car stuff. I know of 4 for sure, many more "heard of". I know high end pro's that won't use an electric cart for this reason

I love my electric cart, I've had it for 12 years, but if I ever load it into a trailer with "tens of thousands of dollars worth of uninsured race car stuff" I will be sure to secure the seat, thanks.

Just went through the exercise of getting my EzGo back running after my g-kids ran it down too far. (6) 8v Trojans. I had to charge each battery individually with my 12v charger for about 15 minutes per (disconnected from each other) to get the set back up to a level the PowerWise would kick in.

Per the cart’s service manual, a slow green flash indicates >80% charge, which is where mine was after the individual charging. Took 3 - 4 hours to come up to a full charge. My cart doesn’t have a charge indicator light, just on the PowerWise.

Oh, and the manual also states the battery water level should be a half inch above the plates.

Yes I got it all sorted out and everything is working and charging as it should

Now I can sell the new PowerWise 48V charger I just bought to recoup some money

I just bought the cart to flip it, not going to keep it

I would also opt for a gas motor cart

I work at a golf course since I retired in 2012, been fun, I work on the carts and have about 60 Yamaha G-29 all gas an average age of 9 yrs in the fleet, keeps me busy. Well they informed me that we will be getting another 60 electric carts, we closed a under performing course. They don't have a clue what has to be done to switch over to electric, larger cart barn , upgraded electric service, training, and has to be done on a very tight budget. Not looking forward to how this is going to work out, might be time to retire for a second time.
