I don't tend to use slotted bits in my ratcheting screwdrivers very often. The other day the occasion arose but when I looked at the new unused bit...:wtf: :spit: :lol_hitti

Blame zephyr for making it that way and then blame snap-on for actually distributing it with the screwdriver.

interesting. I wonder if the letter is done when the bit is made or after? Complete screw up, or the bit labeled wrong?

I guess it could be a mis-labeled Hi-Torque bit, but Snap-on does not list any and Zephyr only shows them as being offered as square drive sockets.

probably a complete screw up then. every once in a while we'll get screws at work that weren't threaded, or ones that are threaded, but don't have anything cut for a screwdriver.

It's a mistake. Every company has the occasional defective item.

Precisely- As I have stated before, if I stopped buying tools from every company that I got a defective tool from, I would not have many choices left.

I had a Snap-on screwdriver that had the handle bored off kilter; after the guy replaced the shank, I said - "hey look, the new shank is bent too." :D

I had the same with a brand new 3/8"-drive 4mm hex bit, i looked at it and the insert was in pissed, the next week i asked my Snap-on man to replace it, he put in a new insert and it was the same. I got him to open a new 3/8" set and give me a perfect one. :D

Yeah ... I always have the tool truck dealers look at me funny because I'm always inspecting the tool closely and looking for defects before I walk away from the truck. :D

Try Apex, I would bet that would never happen with them, as they have kept their quality up for the past 50 years or so!!!!!

Apex bits are excellent, but I think you may be missing the point.:)
