Has anyone found an off-the shelf color that's a good match for the blue-gray color Delta uses on their stuff? I have a mid 90's drill press and bench sander that both could use a refresher. But neither of them have a surface that is large enough, flat enough or clean enough to get a scan.

Thanks. I will swing by sherwin williams and check out the high seas color. I would have just gone with my "garage gray" which is rustoleum anodized bronze, but I just painted the bench that color.

Please post your findings on the S/W High Seas Gray. I went to two stores last week looking for it; was told at one store it had been discontinued

Have several spray cans of possible matches and nothing yet. Currently restoring a 10" contractors saw; waiting is a wood lathe. Would like to find something better than Gray; used it on the bandsaw, but it is missing the blue tint delta had

No. it's a brand like Krylon or Rustoleum. The local Carquest store here sells it, bet it can be found online also. I actually painted a Delta drill press with it and blended to the original paint under the belt cover, can't tell where one starts and other ends.

I've used Plasti-kote spray paint before and it's good stuff - the cans work very well, you can get a nice finish with it.

You can mix Rustoleum's smoke gray with a blue that they also sell (the name escapes me but it's a medium blue) and it gives you a bluish gray. Tint to your own desire. Doesn't help if you want to spray can.

I had a can of this mixed up , and it is too dark. way darker than newer machines. maybe it's an old colour, not sure if it was mixers error, or the formulas have changed or what. I wasn't present when the mix was done, nor did they have a sample to compare it to. The kind friend that did it for me simply gave the store the formula.
