Delta Rockwell bandsaw

First time poster. My grandfather gave me his Delta Rockwell bandsaw before he passed. The serial number is BQ1851. Cannot find a model number on it. He said it was from the late 40’s but not for sure. I would love to do some work on it and incorporate it into my small workshop. Anyone know if manuals are available for something that old?

Those older Delta band saws built a reputation that the new tools envy.

Yes. It still runs really well, and you can tell it’s a beast when you start it up.

That's a nice motor, too. If you open the connection box on the side of the motor there'll likely be a wiring diagram.

Wrong! I just noticed it's the barely legible top part of the motor data plate.

My uncle told me that that motor has been reworked over the years 3-4 times. It’s kind of noisy when you start it up, but it works great. Just put in some hearing protection.
