I am in need of a new string trimmer and am considering a cordless one. I am already invested in the DeWalt 20V line of tools so would like to stay with that battery platform. I would consider the DeWalt 60v since those batteries are compatible, but that is a whole lot more expensive.
The issue I have is that I despise yard work so I tend to put it off as long as possible. Which means that when I do get into it the weeds are a lot thicker than they would be if I did it more often. The question is does the DeWalt 20V trimmer have the power to get through some fairly thick weeds? Is the 60V enough better to justify the cost? Or should I just get another gas trimmer.
I have 6 acres of land total but all but about 1 to 1 1/4 acre is in woods.
