So I got a used DW733 planer from the Habitat store for $120. Took it home and once I ran a board through it I swear you could hear it a mile away, friggin loud and I didn't have any hearing protection on at the time.
I also have the newer DW735 but burned out the motor on that so it sits in a box. I dont remember the DW735 being as loud as the DW733.
Problem is my shed is backed up to 3 houses and I dont want to be a noise nuisance every time I want to use it, I got good neighbors.
Not really wanting to spend a few hundred dollars for a spiral cutter head.
Is that a good price to keep it for or should I spend the cash on a replacement motor for the DW735?
Thanks, I have 7 days to return it.
