I just use standard kentool truck irons and various spoons when needed for some other stuff.

Duck bill hammer for breaking beads.

Cheetah to seat if needed. All of the tires I put on our trucks though are Michelin virgins or Michelin Retreads with Michelin casings so I never seem to need the Cheetah. Use it for other tires though.

I use Tech products for repairs and such. And a big torque wrench of course.

Glad somebody posted on here so it showed up in my profile. I forgot about this thread actually, I've upgraded a lot since my last post and I'll have to get new pictures put up Tuesday when I'm back in town

My box is nothing special yet. Standard CAT box (suspect it's snap on, one of the lower range boxes) with CAT branded wrenches (snap-on made) and sockets and ratchets (proto made). Standard issue starter tooling for us students.

I do have a set of frickin huge Wright wrenches, my father's big set of Craftsman 3/4 drive stuff, and just got in my IR 1/2" impact, so I'm adding to the setup. My box is already fairly full so I'm looking to add tool storage soon. I'm strongly considering setting up an HF cart as an impact tool cart, holding my 1/2 inch and later my 3/4 and 1" guns and impact sockets, extensions, prybars, etc.

I'm graduating from tech school in 4 weeks and then moving to illinois for Peterbilt factory training. My box should come in sometime this week, I'll post pictures when it does!

Classic crewchief  Is that mac side box the one that has pegboard in it?

nope , no pegboard

How do you like the sliding top on the service bed? A couple of our trucks have it here and the techs hate it.

overall they aint bad,
keeps things out of sight, and most of the snow off.

all the ones we've had leak to some extent, along with the POS 'glass bodies.

I work on shred trucks(mechanical, hydraulic, electric and fab).
Also work on other types of recycling equipment in plants and factories, so I'm only in the shop half the time. Been doing it for a year and a half or slightly longer. Occasionally we do oil/filter changes as well on the engines, pumps and gearboxes alike.

She ain't much but I'm still working on filling her up and now looking into a tool cart.

Sorry for the sideways pic...

^ Sean Fenton was my cornwell dealer when I was in school in Tacoma, good to see he's still around.
He's around a lot! Ive been mostly buying from him over other trucks because he comes to our shop twice a week! Cool guy, good buisinessman.

 Welcome to the club! I've had completely different layouts in the same box for the last 3 jobs, and those keep changing as I add more to what I have (borrow twice, buy once).

i tend to keep my main use tools in the same place, layoutwise, but it wasnt easy when i went back out in the field 10 years ago. condensing multiple 36" wide toolboxes into a single 26" wide. :willy_nil
i'm in my 4th different truck since then, and i can actually find what i'm looking for now... sometimes :headscrat

Same for me. Borrow once and usually buy before I need to borrow again.

good way to be.

i've gotten into situattions where if i had a certain socket, the job would be so much easier/faster, and my stress level would diminish as well.

i hate fighting with the "wrong" tool, when theres something available that would make it much easier.
just the overall size difference between a 13mm 3/8" dr and a 1/4" dr makes a world of difference sometimes.

why make a (sometimes) difficult job even harder

I have access to a deal on some really large sockets, and was wondering what sizes you guys that work on really large equipment actually use, that are larger than 2"

used to use a 2 1/4" on some deere eq, but i cant remember what it was for...

jd a,b,c,d series loaders used a 3 1/2" (?) on the top center pin nut.

I haven't used much above 2 1/2". We have a line of sockets in the tool room that go up to 5" or so, but you can tell from the nice thick coating of dust that they don't really get use much at all
