Different Size Single Stall Garage Doors?

Hi Everyone, long time reader - first time posting. The information I've gathered off this site has proven to be invaluable and has given me enough confidence to move forward with a project I inherited when I purchased my home. As you can probably read into from my details below I do not pride myself on my carpentry skills or language, so bear with me.

Here is my situation... the previous HO built a post & beam structure 28x24. He framed out 3 stalls with the 6x6's for 9x7 doors but only put a sliding barn door in the middle stall. I'm now at a point where I've poured a slab and would like to put overhead doors in the middle stall and stall next to it (to the right in the picture below, left stall will be a man door). The overhead garage door company I had come out stated that they could do a 9x7 in the middle, but wanted me to frame in the second stall for an 8x7 so they had a place to run the rails (the gable end of the garage is built using horizontal 2x6's and siding on top of plywood, the rest of the garage is covered in 10" wide pine boards.

So the question is this - if I have a 9x7 and an 8x7 next to each other, will it look funny? Keep in mind I also have the cropped angles at the top of the door, but both doors will be the same height. I also don't want to make both doors 8x7 as I need to fit my truck in the garage and that's already a tight fit. I realize it's a garage, but it's also one of the first things you see when pulling up to the house. Short story, if i win with doors and lose with the wife I am no better off, so it has to look right.

On a building that size I do not think you will notice it.
Explain the problem, with the $ involved, to SWMBO.
You may be surprised at how reasonable she can be.

I have the same deal but on the gable end. Left to right it's: service door right next to an 8' overhead, about a foot of wall (centered under the peak) and then a 9' door with about two feet of wall on the far right.

Took me two years to notice it after we bought the house.

If I'm ready this right the reason for the smaller door is to have room for both tracks on the 6x6??

If that's the case depending on the door manufacture you can special order doors cut down. For example 8'10". This would give you the space needed and would be hard to see.

Many doors companies want to sell stock sizes and not special order cut doors.

He said fitting both tracks on the 6x6 wouldn't be an issue. The issue is actually on the corner 6x6 of the garage which has horizontal 2x6 studs and not a typical studded wall.

how far in before you have enough clearance for the track? what radius of track is he planning on using?
