So I'm almost done putting the insulation up between the rafters of my unifinished ceiling, and will need to cover it with something. It is a detached garage, so I am not sure what code is but since I am mostly in to welding, I figure I should put something fireproof up there--drywall. Rafters are on 24" centers, so I will be using 5/8"s, but I have never hung drywall before and I'm wondering if it is something I will be able to do?
The walls are just pressboard, so its not imperitive that everything be PERFECT but I'd like it to look ok so I plan to hang/mud/paint the ceiling... how hard will this be fore someone that has never done drywall before?
