We are working on it still...
The billing software automatically charges taxes and we are trying to tweek it. In the end, it has to be done manually anyhow, so I will confirm via e-mail directly to you when it's time. Only then will I release orders
Have no worries, there won't be billing charges t'ill it's sorted out. I have ordered square boxes, getting certs of origins bla bla.....

I was reading up on the web last night and came across mention of a case hardening compound called Hi-Speed-It that would supposedly harden a common nail enough to drive through a leaf spring. Couldn't find any modern mention of it tho. Anyone have any info on this?

There is also a product called Kasenit that does the same thing (I believe). The idea behind these products is to heat the low carbon steel very hot so that the atoms become active and then place the part into the carbon bearing powder and let it cool. When the surface is hot the carbon atoms from the product infuse into the surface of the steel and become trapped there as the metal cools causing an increase in surface hardness. There is a limit to how hard you can get mild steel but it does work.

I got my confirmation this morning on the dies......shipping was a little better price wise.........but you have to figure they are still cheaper than the ones advertised on pirate 4x4 offroad site.........Personally I cant wait to press out some sheetmetal........Jim

I can't believe I spent an entire day on this, AGAIN!

I called Purolator to help me out with this, who told me I had to take care of all the international certificates of origin paperwork myself and then proceeded to get the run around.

I had form no. B-232 that is a workable pdf. file as opposed to the D-11-4-2 that is only printable for the NAFTA cert. from the Canadian border ..........only to find out , after several calls all over.... to finish with the US customs in the end that I actually needed form no.446 from the C.B.P. but turns out I really needed form no.434....

In the end, after filling out the on-line shipping documents, it turns out Purolator actually gives me all the dam NAFTA **** after all.....

Unless I get struck with lightning or have a stroke...They should come by and pick up the first 5 orders sometime soon.
Can I say OOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!!

They haven't been by for pickup yet, so I just called them up. I had filled all the info on line with them and even got the confirmation of shipment request yesterday. I thought that's all I needed........BUT I also needed a PICKUP request confirm. Dam!! Now I missed today's pickup deadline........

Purolator Man picked up the 5 boxes just before lunch! I'm so happy.....
Now if they can just get to destination in one piece with no extra hassles I will have become a pro.....

I am now more than half way cutting up the pipe sizes on the saw, that, I can do easily.

Any way you could cut them out of annealed 4140? That stuff is almost as cheap as 1018 and can be hardened up to around 58-60C. Your price is great and the machine work seems super, but I just can't pull the trigger on something that can't handle at least 11 ga steel without wearing quickly. How much would a custom set out of 4140 run me? I can harden them on my end once they arrive...

Good question,I have to check with my metal supplier. Machine time would be longer and 4140 makes one hell of a long burr as opposed to C12L14 who's chip breaks into small ones.I doubt it would be economical for me to buy 6 different 12ft lengths of the stuff. But maybe 2 diff. sizes and turn them down to size could be feasible I guess.Give me a couple days to work on it.

Sounds great. You could probably use just 1 or 2 OD sizes and then just have a step in the termination of the dimple radius on both the male and female sides so it doesn't leave any additional marks on the workpiece. No real reason to have multiple outside diameters as long as the clearances worked.

The reason I use different OD sizes is so you could get closer to a flange. If there's no flange then in theory you could have a 4'' od for a 1/2 hole...waste of material... but that was just an example.
