Very impressive! I hope to have something this nice some day.
Are you going to do any permanent A/C or Heat in the shop? I noticed earlier you mentioned you had some temp heat.
I have been getting lots of quotes for mine, but they are all north of 12k. I can't convince them this is a shop and not a house.
Thanks,
-Eric
HOw about a ductless system? probably be $2-3K and you'll get a heat source if needed.
I do mostly wood work in mine and think I will just put in a wood burning stove and insulate well. Just burn up all my scraps.
I'd spend 5k, but not 12.
Great build... I might have missed it but how much head room do you have in your loft and how wide is it??? ve been tossing around the idea of a loft with room for a "man cave" in the shop I'm building just worry about usable space... I'm toying with 28' by 32' for my shop with 12' walls and a 10/12 roof...
Yeah just regular 3/4" #2 solid oak tongue and grove flooring nailed and glued to plywood. Its 2 layers of 5/8" plywood staggered to make up 9' of length. The trim around the outer edge is 1"x3" (actual 3/4"x2 1/2") routed with a 3/8" round bit top and bottom. I have about $100 in the top, a butcher block top would have been a lot more money.
Thanks for the info! I may just steal this idea because I have lots of extra 3/4" oak T&G leftover from my wood floor install in my last house. We just poured the garage floor on my new house so I'm anxious to get in there and start building my shop space finally. I think your bench top looks great! Thanks.
Below is a picture of the recent pouring of our garage floor. It's 24'x36' three bay.

Exactly what lights did you use? Can you show the wiring on the back?

Wow this shop turned out great. Have you decided if you were going to paint the walls? I have my doubts about making OSB look good with paint.
Great looking build, love the way it all came together. Any plans for a lift with all that ceiling height?
Garage looks awesome!!!!
What kind of costs do you have into this build?
