There have been little posting on the forum in the lately, but that doesn't mean anything has happened. Have had a leak checked with soapy water all of the welds and connections of 0.3 bar with compressed air, no leaks.
Then drained the air and filled it up with water, then increased the pressure to 15 bar. Test ok :)

Here are some pictures:

Z-ed, I just watched a couple of your videos.

The good news: No use of that GD selfie-stick! Thank you. Subscribed.

I wish I could weld like you!

There was a lot of misinterpretation here. My comments about it being 3x were in support of it. At this thickness it is so far above its design demands none of it is any safety concern. With 2 or 3 passes around the fittings it better not leak, if it does the welder needs to retire.
We wouldn't have even bothered to test it. I mentioned 3x,, the number is probably even higher

Nice work, z!
I spent quite a few years in the tank/pressure vessel industry, it's clear by your design and workmanship that you know what you're doing. Your welds look top notch.
The best way to test the tanks would be to hydrotest them- fill them with water, pressurize to max design value and hold. If there is a rupture it won't explode catastrophically like it would with compressed air.
Thanks for circling back to show the finished product.

I have a Hayden 1284 oil cooler with a 16" fan. The fan is a puller type, it also helps keeping the compressor head cool. Cooler features brazed cooper tubes with aluminium fin construction. Turbolators in every tube provide 3 1/2 times more coolinh surface than bare tubing. Overal size is: 16-3/4 x 24 x 1-1/2. Fitting size: 3/4 FPT.

The goal with this setup is to cool the air from the compressor head, then to the water trap, before dry air goes to the tanks.

Got some premade hydraulic hoses for this setup.

Beautiful work! How large is the coalescing filter? The scale is hard to judge, but looks quite large and very heavy duty!

Thanks, it’s close to 5 litres i volum. The bigger is better i think. But be adware that this is a prototype.

Fantastic job! Enjoyed reading!
You mentioned 6 mm tank thickness and just wondering what type of TIG welder you used? HF or Lift Tig/ Live Tig?

If you used HF, would Lift or live Tig be good enough?

Thanks very much!
