I'm building a coal fired forge for my son and I to try our hands at knifemaking and I have a question:
Though we will be using it outdoors for the time being I have designed it to have a hood and chimney in case I finally get to build a shop that I could put it in so I want to put a stub pipe in place for a chimney. All the commercial double wall chimney pipe I have seen is thin gauge sheet metal that is formed, not good for welding to a steel hood. Is there any kind of steel stub pipe available specifically to be welded on one end (flanged perhaps) and slip fit into the double wall chimney pipe?
Thanks in advance!
