You should not need 12 point anything, those things strip stuff like nobody's business.

do you run into 12pt fasteners that need an impact to remove? if yes buy them if not dont bother lol

faster. bigger. badder. oh yea. lets strip some ****. lolIt's ok to use a ratchet once in a while too ya know. Just use chrome.
Ask yourself: "Do I really need to use my impact on this?"
The one twelve point impact socket I want is a swivel socket for 12mm bolts on Ford universal joint straps....
Here is the one you need. Theses are specifically designed for drive shaft bolts. They can be bought individually, or in SAE and metric sets. I just bought a few of these myself the other day.

If you are going to use those fairly hard and with any frequency, please post how you like them sometime in the future. I'm always looking for something like this. We go through Snappy 12mm 12pt swivels pretty regularly in our shop.
Of course the Sunex ones can't be as good as the Snappy ones since Snap-on sockets are made of awesomium and are always the best, no exceptions.
The only thing that concerns me is getting them replaced when they break. I don't know of any Sunex guys since our old independent dealer retired a few years ago.
