Do you leave your vise outside?

I found out real fast that if you have a vice on a stand and there's now where to put stuff on within reach besides the ground/floor, it's not a good situation.

When I was grinding on something and wanted to reposition it I didn't have anywhere to set the grinder on.

The stand needs a place near by to sit stuff on like grinders/tools and material.

Sled: yep putting stuff down on ground wouldn’t be good. I usually will have a job box or sawhorse bench set up near my vise stand so more than likely it won’t be an issue for me.

Maybe consider doing one like mine. My heaviest vise has wheels and handle bars for moving. Like a built in two wheel hand truck. The others have square bases and I move with hand truck.
Not my cheap beer, a buddy was being a smartas....

Good idea there BD1.

The vise yuppies would rather sleep next to their vises than their wives it seems but they don't really seem to understand what a vise is used for. It's certainly tempting to me to have one outside.
