I moved from Chicago to Sarasota and since I lost my midwest basement, my Florida 3-car garage became my new mancave.
All my sports stuff, die-cast models, etc. are now proudly displayed in the garage and many of my neighbors roll their eyes. Although some joke with me about it, most of them simply view their garage as a big storage space to just let stuff sit. Which is a Florida phenomenon that I will never understand....people park their expensive cars in the driveway exposed to the heat, rain, etc, so they can save/horde/protect $200 lawn furniture and old childrens clothes?!
I believe in paying stuff forward. The moment I'm done with it, it's gone! Either given away or sold.
I just finished my second phase of Gladiator wall units, etc. and the next phase will be the installation of a partial Race Deck floor over the existing epoxy floor. That will really freak them out!
