I bought a whole set a while back and am loving them. By now I've used almost all of them to one extent or another, they're freaking awesome. Best money I ever spent on hammers, hands down.

House of Tools was Impact's largest account, went bust last spring leaving Impact hanging for about two grand. Will likely never see a dime.
Anyway, we have a good inventory of all sizes of hammers in stock this year.

The two House of Tools locations in Edmonton never seemed to have any Impact hammers in stock! (just the same 14 oz hammer for what seemed like forever) - or maybe they were constantly "soldout"?
I had to complete my collection by going to one of the industrial supply houses!

Bump, on the grounds that these hammers look the biz, and I'm looking for decent dead blow hammers, or at least brands to look for... I think they are worth another look for everyone.

Absolutely right! I have no regrets with mine at all and I'm still saving the matching mini-sledge.

Well, I've just about sorted the basics (sockets, spanners and screwdrivers), but have nothing in the way of pliers and hammers- these seem like the biz, but yeah, new baby, moving house... I want them, but they can wait a while at least! lol

After a slow 2009, hammer sales have really picked up in recent months. Most of the sales are going to tool stores in Western Canada. I see the inventory is very low, completely out of 20s, 52s ouncers, 6 and 15 pounders. Back orders are building and production from the Calgary polymer plants is very poor again. Grandpa has been called upon to cut more steel for inserts, geez! Number one son gone to Calgary today to pick up the few hammers they poured over the past two weeks to fill the back orders and beg the plants for more production and to pick up more steel for DBD (grandpa) to cut.
We are back to normal, as it was prior to 2009. I think the recession is over atleast here in Western Canada.

Yes I purchased the whole set....They are great! I didn't think I'd use the smallest one very much but in fact that is the one I use the most! Well worth the money and a great company to deal with.

I also find that I use the smaller one a lot more than I thought I would. I bought it for completeness of the set, but now I'm really glad I sprung for the whole set. Having a choice in size and a size for pretty much any application is really nice.

If you don't mind me asking, how much does the full set run? And how many hammers does it comprise of? (Does it include the massive sledge?)

Page 3 of this thread has some pics I took of my 4 piece set + mini sledge. I haven't got the big blue one yet. Been waiting, but that puppy is pricey and Christmas took up all my extra $$$.

dead blow dad, do you have any dealers in Vancouver, BC (or local area)? From a few pages back, it seemed that House of Tools out in Langley had it. But House of Tools has now become KMS, and your hammers are not listed on KMS's catalogue.

The last time that I hit my finger with a cheap dead blow hammer, it hurt just as much as the time that I hit it with the Snap-On dead blow hammer. After that I came to the conclusion that they are both just as good at hitting my finger, and hurting the same..
my dad bought those HF dead blow hammer, i had use it for few times hit, it was blown!!! there is every metal balls over the place!! i was upset and told dad to not buy anything from harbor freight as hammers or ratchets!!!

My friend did that to one of his. Bent it then blow a hole in the head and all the shot fell out.
