Sorry to threadjack, but are Double Offset wrenches useful as general purpose wrenches for things like bicycles and large appliances?
Yes, box end offsets can be very handy for many things. To get into a tight space surrounded by something around it, you can either use a rachet and sockets or maybe a flex head racheting wrench or a "Saltus" type socket flex end wrench or else a box end offset. Your choice. I consider a set of box end offset a "standard" tool set for anyone to have, but others may not find a need for them at all.
I found out why the Harbor Freight India made deep offset wrenches are way way better than one would expect. Gedore very likely provided the tooling to make those as they had set up manufacture of these in India at one point earlier. Good tooling makes good wrenches if the metal is OK quality. For anyone starting out with a box end offset interest, I recommend getting these for less than $25 a set and see if you like them before getting one of the better brands covered in this thread for a lot more money. - Paul
