Are Mcnaught grease guns made in Australia? i know they were an Australian company. have they outsourced to china?
Theres too many rabbits in china.
Wall cabinet tool set; historically, usa brands like, snap-on and craftsman used to sell these. I don't think I have seen anyone else continue to make these type of sets that attach to a wall! Pretty cool...![]()
sidchrome have been outsourcing for a while though.

I've got some Sidchrome Whitworth amd AF spanners that are cast stamped with "Made in Sweden"
European made thing...
I wonder if it really is Sidchrome's "innovation"? Where's Monte!
My guess is Facom.

According to this bloke, manufacturing has switched to China *sigh*
There were quite a lot of tools made in Australia historically, but very few in current production. Seems as though most Oz companies either folded, were bought out or started manufacturing offshore.
I have old stuff made in Australia by Sidchrome, Dowidat, DUFOR, Zircalloy, POPE, GEE JAY, and Wiltshire, but I'm not sure that there are many, if any companies producing tools here on a large commercial scale. (I'm no expert on the topic though, so I may be totally wrong)
I believe the tool in Mad Max was Mel Gibson
rod

I was in Bunnings this weekend (please forgive me) and they had 'Wiss' tin snips on the shelf 'made in Australia'.
By Apex tools? part of cooper tools?
i don't know all the details. but at least they were made in Australia.
That is great news. I will have to check Bunnings for a set. If they are Made in Australia I would feel compelled to buy!![]()
