I did my first shop in 1973 with type M in the walls, sweat fittings, never had a failure of any ind and its still good today, my son lives there and uses the system.The shop in northern mi I plumbed the same way,its only 10 yrs old. The new "mini-shop" as I call it I am working on now and will go into. service in a couple months. All of my air systems are 175psi wp.The main trunk lines are 3/4,and the drops to the regulators, are 1/2 and loop over the top of the trunk lines and have a 12" drip leg at the regulator.Over the years I have probably refinished 50 cars and a shitload of bikes,machenery,and other things.Ive never had any water in the lines but I do keep the drip legs and receivers drained.
