I want one of these, but not at that price: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002KH7M3Y/?tag=atomicindus08-20
I have a 115pc index which works well for finding the bit I need, but I have multiples of some sizes and they just float around sort of organized in plastic divider boxes for now.
I have a sinking feeling that I don't have enough drill bits after seeing this thread.

All depends on what you're doing. Think forstner bits, spade bits for woodworking, stub drills for lathe and mill, 12" (aircraft) long bits for deep hole drilling, carbide and SDS for masonry, the list goes on......
Try sharpening a #80 drill in a drill doctor ...and trust me when I say you need to keep more than a few in stock when drilling in 1/8 in steel or even aluminum. (Hint = a #80 is 0.0135" dia).![]()
I use one of those little metal boxes with the racks inside of it.
