My 30x50 red iron shop building will have 14' walls with a 1/12 pitch roof, fully insulated (6" roll in fiberglass), A/C, with mini-rib metal on the interior walls. The building will have no ceiling material covering the insulation.
I would like to cover the insulation for aesthetics and to help reduce sound resonation with the metal walls. Any thoughts on using an acoustic tile drop-in ceiling in a shop?
With the A/C duct run against the roof ridge, I should be able to hang a ceiling grid just below the 14' wall height that will still clear the 12' needed by my two-post lift.
It sounds like a good idea to me, and something that I can do myself with a power lift, but what do I know???
