With that logic making my case would be to say nothing. I'm entitled to my opinion even if you don't agree with me. I don't start pointless threads over and over just to piss people off.

I'm the jerk?

He means, state your mind and then walk away. Arguing with him is like arguing with a wall, except the wall probably has better counter-arguments, or at least more intelligent ones.

You're right on there. I know arguing is pointless but the fact that those types of threads are being allowed to continue is frustrating. :willy_nil

sooooooo name calling is much better than having having some fun stating the obvious in the title!? :dunno:

Thing, not person, if we are going to be pedantic at least try to play along :)

what "obvious" statement was in the title? And Mickey is the one asking people to not respond in the thread, read the OP, ""I'll talk **** in the title, and if you dont like it, keep it to yourself""

I dont care about his opinion, it's rediculous, I'm extremely happy there are so many people who wont buy anything that doesnt fall off a truck, I am profoundly grateful to all the tool-truck kool-aid kids, I mean that, without them the prices of the tools I buy would go up to probably a 3rd of what they pay.

Seriously though... I've seen the same old back and forth discussions over and over here at GJ for along time, both sides are guilty.. MickeyO isn't gonna change. If you don't find the title mildly amusing you need to lighten up, if you bothers you... Just ignore the thread. What started out as a very cool thread showing a awesome lathe with tons of tooling has now turned into 3 pages of "****" <--- including my 2cents. The mods are surely gonna lock this thread by morning and while it will be success for some of you, it takes away from the intentions of this forum.

Mods feel free to delete my responses, versus just lock it down.

agreed

it was a humorous title for sure with some killer tools he scored

everyone was enjoying his score and what the threads was all about until.... once again it got hijacked... hmmmm i wonder if that's why he does it... do you think there is a connection there??? :dunno:

Only Mickey can answer that question. But I'm sure MANY IF NOT MOST OF US would hope their OWN thread gets as much attention as this thread has gotten, . . . thanks to the Harbor Freight zealots. So Like have I have said all along, those people should just state their case logically, without personal attacks, and then let the cards fall. In a free society, that's how things work for all. :)

Great Haul! What are the pliers with the big spring in the middle for? I found a pair of those recently and couldn't figure out what they were for, as they seem to separate instead of close.

Then put the nice tool haul in one of the million other threads already in use. Why start a new thread just to jab HF?

(If you want to bash USA made tools, call me names, talk about the global economy, talk about how great HF is etc., start you're own thread.)

The thread title is fine, I see it's posted by Mickey and I know what to expect, but then he trolls a little further.

There is a thread for new tools arrivals, no one ever has the import/US arguements there so it doesnt fit Mickeys agenda, and of course only rarely do you see any bashing in the HF threads, its usualy by the guys in these threads and it's usualy ignored, and no one here is promoting an import viewpoint, just responding to the intent of the thread, as designed.

Funny how Mickey's thread about buying import tools, a Lambourghini tool kit, got no **** what so ever, everyone responded positively, no bs at all, I wonder what the difference is.

Again... People have always started "new" threads showing there loot... If the 2012 guys don't like it, make a suggestion in the "Question/suggestion" section.

In the past the mods have removed "inappropriate" off topic discussions from members threads. Hopefully they will show Mickey the same courtesy... If him not wanting his thread littered with bashing or economic discussions is considered "Trolling"... Houston we got problems.

I'll start by deleting my unnecessary comments..

Then he shouldn't bait for them with his "disclosure" and antagonizing titles. It's pretty simple, you get what you give.

Yeah, I don't subscribe to the 2012 guys logic either. I am a long time member of YellowBullet.com, so if you want to troll and bait, then bring your A game and expect it back.

Here's a pic of a Metcoid socket set I saw on flea bay, remind you of any other brand's offerings? I would love to know the story behind Metcoid.

Brilliant, very witty, must have taken you hours to come up with, I'm going to have to remember that.

I dont think he was talking about your stuff Mickey, I think he was referencing that Black Chevy Truck right below his comment.

Really!??? Grown men are going to start comparing incomes in this forum when they disagree about TOOLS???? Wow... Might have to start thinking if its even worth my time here. I hate to see this very informative site turn into a school playground full of children.
