More....more....MOREEEEE.
Those are my thoughts after going through ALL 45 pages of this wonderful thread. I've got ideas bouncing around my head now, waiting to explode. The information and suggestions and feedback and all that stuff in this thread have been nothing but terrific. This thread has it all: it's well-written, contains excellent photos and has great contributors.
This may have been the motivation I needed (aka kick in the ***) to get my garage project in gear. For too long, it's been "I can't" or "this garage isn't good enough" (to fix up). I've wanted to fix ours up since we moved in, but when I start to think of all that goes into it, I find myself getting super frustrated and talking myself out of it.
But after showing my wife this thread and talking it over with her (who is fully on board with me building the garage of my dreams), I'm going to devise a plan of attack and start with step 1 and go from there. What more can you do, right?! Do one thing at a time and eventually, progress will manifest itself.
In summary, thank you!

Thank you for this amazing thread and showing me what is possible with a garage of this size (we have very similarly sized garages), when you add a little patience and some fantastic thoughts and ideas. You were the motivator I needed. I'm hoping sometime in the next year, I'll be posting my own garage build thread.
Also helps that you're a fellow german auto enthusiast. While I'm a BMW guy, myself, I do appreciate the VW culture and am friends with a well-known Vdub guy in the Northeast...fuzzy.
Keep up the good work! Based on how this thread was written, I'm thinking I should go back and read through your dubber's single thread.
