I was super excited to get home last night and set up my new garage toy, I'm sure you all could have expected that by this point hahaha.

From the front it is a comparable size to the craftsman but it is actually 5 inches deeper which is really noticeable. I'll use this to hold most of my cleaning chemicals that get brought into the house over the winter. Already with a few tests the difference in depth is substantial. The leveling feet are also very helpful as the slight decline in the floor meant i needed to wedge up the front wheels of the previous cabinet to avoid the drawers from sliding open.

I like that cabinet, I need something like that for all my detailing stuff.

Its a great size and it has a nice quality stainless steel top which is a shame to have tucked away under the bench. I recommend it.

Nice coordinated look to your workbench area now.

Thank you sir, exactly what i'm going for. Have to take a better pic beyond my quick iphone shot on my way to work this morning.

You have a really nicely put together work area there! I'd be inclined to copy it if I wasn't dreaming of a steve-o style dual HF44 cabinet bench... I'll be a while saving for that one though, especially after heating my shop over this winter.

Dubber I found that same Husky base cabinet at my local HD about a year ago . I love it (it was a display model with a dinged up door and the price was very good) I have the slide out draw loaded down and no issues at all. I'm really thinking of the wall cabinets for my new build. BTW that "VW Racing" banner where did you get that I have asked all my dealer friends
When your tired of it send it to me

Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks man. Piecing it together has allowed me to make it happen for sure.

The sliding drawer is a feature i really like. And especially with the depth, very useful. The wall cabinets are great, and obviously would match perfectly. I use the Husky trackwall to mount them up. I actually cut one in half to mount two. Keep an eye at Home Depot as they often go on sale for like 25% off.

The "VW Racing" flag i sourced from ebay actually. I think it came from Brazil. I can do some digging if you would like.

I am predicting your next thread title dub based on what I've seen added to your garage: "Dubber's Triple" :)

Since he dubbled from the last one, it should be Dubber's Sixer

Hahaha, whoa whoa whoa, lets pump the brakes! I'm thinking we will be at this house at least 5 years, if not more. Still in the process of making the rest of the home and outside our own. Obviously i would love to continue this level of multiplication :)

Nice looking cabinets dubber! I can't believe you're braving the cold.. I've given up until spring, although with today's weather and what seems to be coming next week, that may be soon!

my math is more rainmain-ish. He has had 1 now 2 car. so that is 3 total garages (sorta) so double that would make 6. by my math if he then doubled that, he would then have 18.

Common core doesnt have nothing on me.

My Schwaben protecta deep sockets finally arrived. Hoping to put them to use soon with the wheel swap.

Did a little comparison of my wheel swap tools. A lot has changed since last spring in my Single garage lol... Impact gun, compressor, reel, sockets, and torque wrench.

Mopped up the floor and cleaned up a bit. Makes me smile every time i open the door.

Hey dubber, thanks for the index in the first post. Saved me time this morning when I was trying to remind myself what sealer you used!

Couldn't wait any longer.... Had to go out and "play" in the garage with some of the new tools i've been hoarding lately.

It quickly became pretty hectic out there putting everything to use. Finally getting to really use the air tools for the first time to change the wheels was a fun experience.

Did a first real test of the new rollers for the Jetta. Thrilled with the look.

Dubber, are you back on summer tires now? I was going to switch, but I heard a call for more snow this weekend and we're making a drive out your way to visit my parents.

Edit: PS the new wheels look great.

It's nice to finally be able to put all of that to use! Have you considered getting torque sticks for your impact for putting the lugs back on? I've been toying with the idea, but I'm still not sure if I can justify it.

On this car the "summer's" are actually all season tires. Its only supposed to snow less than a cm though from what i've seen. If we get a dump i'll just swap them back. I was very eager to see these actually on the car and to try out the tools.

and thanks!

I just picked up a torque wrench recently (finally) so i will just be using that for awhile. Funny i had actually never heard of torque sticks before. I googled it and the second thread that came up for me was Garage Journal :)

Yeah, my "summer tites" are high performance all seasons too. Kind of the way to go in our climate.

OK, looks like I'm up for a wheel swap this week too. Unfortunately, I never mastered the art of changing them in my single, so I'll do it out in the driveway like an animal.

/\ Agreed!

Picked up this bad boy last night. After lots of reading and talking to people regarding features i should be considering for a Mitre saw i opted for this one. Would have loved to get the Dewalt or Bosch version but for the price and based on my use this will be perfect. 10" Dual-bevel sliding mitre saw. Jumped at the 55% off sale price.

Thank you sir. BTW as i kid i was a HUGE Whaler's fan. Had a Mike Liut jersey.

Whatcha cuttin'?

Well the primary purpose is to help with a deck that I will be building this summer with my dad. Secondary would be for laying hardwood upstairs and likely laminate in the basement. Along with any other projects as they come up.

Looks like you're getting a nice repertoire of tools there! I use my Makita SCMS constantly! I wish I had the room in my garage to make a dedicated bench for it with a full length fence, ruled stops and hold downs... maybe one day!
Did you end up getting a stand with it?

Dubber...big fan on your organization skills and garages! Read both your threads a couple of times...

Quick question on the miter saw...do you plan on storing it in the garage? If so, where? Or do you have space in the basement/attic? I ask because I also own a 10-inch duel bevel sliding miter and no matter how much I try to keep it out of the way...its always in the way!

My garage by no means is a wood working shop, more of a 2 car space for well...2 cars...so just curious. Thanks!

I'm slowly expanding my collection, and loving every minute of it hahaha. No stand no. I have a Workmate that i will likely use for projects.

Ky, thanks for taking the time to read through my threads, great to hear. Luckily we have a nice sized basement with two rooms i use as storage. Its down there now and likely will be staying there when not in use. Your right it takes up a bunch of space so it would be tough to "hide". I have a feeling it could fit in my Husky cabinet but i want to allocate that space for things i use more often.

Nice additions! Those rims look great.

Thanks Chad. I've been wanting these for a couple years now. Finally found a set for a good price. They are OEM from a Passat called Bristol, great size and offset so i don't need to use spacers. My winter set-up uses 20mm in the back and 15mm in the front. Still working on the appropriate tire size as the current tires rub slightly on dips. I'm lower than stock so it always presents some challenges. Trying on smaller profile tires today.
