Gave the TDI a much needed winter bath today and swapped the rear spacers to give it a bit more of an aggressive stance. Decided this was a perfect opportunity to get the real camera out and put aside the iPhone for a few pics.

I'm not sure if its just me, but it feels so unfinished with the big empty space above the tool chest. Its been a challenge waiting to get a TV up there but I'm thinking Boxing day will be my salvation!
oh and if you can import me a vw too that would be great.
Sweet spot you have there.. And very nice use of space. Love the cars also. Not many cars like that in the states![]()
Not worried about cleaning up the walls? Or are you just wiping them down after?
What foam gun did you get and what soap are you using?
how many miles/km are on the R?
Its deceiving but i pulled the Jetta out and put the .:R in the middle. There is 2.5 meters approx on both sides. Took my time aiming the spray and didn't have any issues.
I just read through BOTH of your threads...Nice work! I previously owned an 09' GTI. Man I loved that car. I now own an E30, low on HP but it's a whole lotta RWD fun. I've got a pic below. Excuse the rake, I'm waiting on the funds for coils. Eventually I'm throwing on some ITBs and a turbo with standalone tuning. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration!

Congrats on the new ride!!
Hey Dub, is that foam gun hooked up to a pressure washer or running off the hose?
Just off the hose. I'll likely end up upgrading the gun once this one brakes but for now it works great.
Dub, I'm just about to order a RaceDeck "pad" to direct/contain snow melt to the drain I just added in my side slope garage. Two questions:
1. Can you post a pic of the underside of one of the ramp edge pieces? I'm thinking of sealing the ramp edge pieces to my floor, so snow melt is contained in the pad.
2. Is your entire center section graphite, then accent border in alloy, outside order in black? I'm thinking a center section of just alloy with a graphite border and black ramp edge around the whole pad. When I look at your floor, the center section looks like it's a checkerboard of two colors..but I'm thinking it's just the free flow tile orientation??
Thanks for your help![]()
Your floor pics made the color choices a lot easierI went with as bright as possible, so alloy for the center section, graphite border, and black ramp edge for all four sides. That grid structure on the ramp edges is going to be a challenge. I may install the entire floor over some 60mil EPDM rubber I have set aside for this project.
Which one are you rocking? And what would be your review?
I have this one, it isn't too bad.

I recently finished ready BOTH of your threads in their entirety and I'm using them for inspiration as I begin my garage makeover. Needless to say, great job and thanks for sharing all the great ideas. As a fellow Canadian and a VW guy I really appreciate all the "local" know how and I now have copius notes to refer to as I work on my garage.
Happy to help. Honestly the creation part I really miss. Its nice to now enjoy the final product but it was a fun road along the way.
I've heard of that one and its actually on my radar when i need to replace mine. How long have you had it?
Thanks man. Appreciate you checking out BOTH threadsThat E30 is a sweet project for sure. Been a fan of those since I was a kid. My wife actually pesters me once in a while about getting one as a project car for her.
