Stumbled upon this the other day while on Home Depot's Canada website. My wife and i were looking for something when this image popped up. She instantly said "why do they have a picture of your garage?" :) They do look similar. Interesting that this was a the look that i created over a year ago and its new to their site.

A little comparison pic to my earliest look using pic stitch.
IMG_5031_zpsoopp5jl3.jpg

And a better pic.

They have changed their primary Husky cabinets. I've got to say i do like the quality and look of the new change. I am torn as i've committed to the now "old" model. It seems as though they have listened to feed back about the bench. Their old workbench had a stainless top and received poor reviews. The reason i went another route in my space.

I'm thinking about doing some minor changes with my wall storage and garage art. The addition of the .:R has obviously given me an excuse to get some new garage art.

Framed this up over the weekend.

Also spent some time using the garage for its intended purpose. Washed the daily and swapped the wheels while it was still alone in the garage and i had the extra space.

Love the update Dubber! I still love my original Husky cabinets. Look great and hard to beat for the money too! Good to see you enjoying your place.

Dubber, thought about you today. Down here in Tennessee. Unfortunately I couldn't take any more pictures than the attached.

Sorry mate, but I'm sure you mean "the reason you went a different "route" in your space.

You may, or may not, want to know what the other meaning is down here.

But I'm fairly sure that didn't happen in the garage..... :3gears:

Lyndon
Yep, still here! :scared: :spit: :bounce:

Snapped a quick pic after cleaning up a bit. Once my grille project is done i'll be able to get it to the level i'm satisfied with.

BTW I have to give shout outs to anyone on the board who has provided information and reviews on the Liftmaster 8500 openers. I've now recommended it to two friends who are both very happy with their purchases. I'm hoping to also add that at some point. All my "fun" funds are going to restoring the .:R to the level it should be.

Dubber, in post # 1445, you have a nice looking floor jack that seems low enough to get under your side skirts. Can you tell me which brand/model that is? I need something that can get under a low car. thanks.

I love the look of the mk iv r32 rear end. Makes me jealous..

Completely agree.

Thanks, it took a few tries to find one that works for my application. My vehicles are normally pretty low so this one is perfect. Really long and low. Its a Michelin branded jack sold a local company in Canada called Canadian Tire, not sure if they still even carry it. I'm sure its re-branded elsewhere.

Here's the best pic i could find.

That one looks pretty similar.

Looking good dubber! Been drooling over your garage for a long time. I recently purchased my first home with a 2 car garage and I have been drawing (aka stealing) a lot of stuff from your garage. Thanks so much for sharing your transition of your garage over the years.

Thanks for the kind works. Always great knowing that some of my posts help to spur an idea on someone else's project.

Congrats on the purchase, its an exciting stage that you will hopefully thoroughly enjoy. Ensure to start up a thread and document the process. Would love to check it out. Cheers!

Got it, will check HF this weekend. Thanks, guys.

Added another of the Husky Trackwall panels and created a new shelf. Haven't 100% decided what will go on there but the storage is useful. This decision finally allowed me to get the newly mounted .:R poster up. Very happy!

Well this weekend I tackled my annual thorough floor cleaning post canadian winter mess. The RaceDeck FreeFlow tiles allow muck to flow under the tiles and keep the surface clean. This does mean there is an accumulation below they depending on the person and the cleaning cycle should be cleaned at some point. In my city we use a TON of salt, so i really didn't want that dried substance just sitting in the garage.

Side Note: In my garage i only park a "dirty" car on the left side (right side in the pictures). This means that i only end up needing to remove the one side.

I decided to quickly highlight the simplicity of undoing a section of RaceDeck flooring. With a simple paint scraper find one of the locking joints......
IMG_5142_zpsh64nqc39.jpg

And pry to one direction. Now you can either remove one tile or work your way down the line to remove a large section.
image1_zpsjvrljcli.jpg

Floor up, after being sprayed to negate dust.
image2_zpszph7kznf.jpg

After a few sessions of Simple green, hose and scrubbing with a push broom.
image3_zps1xz9dcke.jpg

Sealing the garage floor was definitely beneficial to simplify the cleaning process.

Once the floor is back down a quick mop with an all purpose cleaner and the results speak for themselves.

And the results!

Nice work dubber. Imagine tearing down and building that floor for every race event. LOL. It looked great, but I wanted to hire someone to transport and assemble/teardown the flooring at each race. :)

Sweet! Have you posted pics of your race prep area? I want to see that.

Your dirt looks a lot like my dirt..ha :) Having a floor sloping outside to pavement would have been a lot, lot easier. Regardless, loving the floor.

Hahaha. Yea it gets mucky here in Ontario. I had to hose down my whole driveway after as there was a ton of silt.

Thanks man. Its an awesome product that i have NO regrets purchasing.

Wow looks like a lot of work to keep that stuff clean. Imagine after your sealed the floor it washes out easier.

It may look deceiving, but it really isn't. Day to day cleaning is really non-existent based on the design. This is as mentioned just an annual thing i do as we get a ton of snow, mixed with salt during our winters. I'm also a little OCD and I like to have things clean. :bounce:

Another weekend in the garage with all the drawers and cabinet doors open

The .:R is finally back from paint which allowed me to tackle a couple projects beyond cleaning that were being delayed.

Started by swapping the caps from red to blue, makes sense to me :) One was cracked which helped justify the mod. Why just replace when you can upgrade hahaha.

Results! This is the way it should have looked. These are all OEM German parts for the R36. Side note except the oil cap which is OEM Porsche.

Turned the car around and tackled the wiper delete mod. Or removal of the dust collector as i refer to it.

A little weight savings!

And the clean results...
