I've definitely been putting in some overtime in the garage the last couple days and my hope is to do the same tomorrow. I was able to finish the second coat of my accent wall and i love the result. Also started to paint the perimeter after patching all the cracks. I'm painting it black to flow well with the Race Deck flooring which will be black around the outside. The addition of the black completely transformed the look of the lower part of the wall. I'm very pleased with the result. Its still a work in progress as i'm trying to smooth it a bit and ad caulking here and there where i felt a draft during the painting process.
Picture is in the process of painting the trim below the door threshold. I picked up a can of black CIL Smart 3 Ultra premium exterior Paint with primer which is supposedly for masonry, siding, cement etc. And it says its also Triple Weather Protection. It was recommended by the HD employee and i think it makes sense.
New look of the painted lower wall. I continued up the wall with the cement beside the door.
Then i decided to hell with it and picked up this bad boy, which i had been envisioning as it fit perfectly based on the dimensions i had to work with. It was still on sale and litterally the perfect width at 32". 33" from the wall on the left is my hose spigot, which is now nicely placed between my cabinet and the toolbox.
This is as of 10 minutes ago with this end of the garage put back together.
While waiting between drying times for various projects i decided to clean up the area above the garage door as i still wasn't satisfied with it. Added some of the same colour as the accent wall.
Before: Starting of project
After: With trim painted white.
After: Today
Working on a few more details the next couple of days and the goal is to possibly have the flooring in about 2 weeks.
