When do you pick up the floor. We are all waiting!!!! LOL Garage looks good dude!

Thanks man, since I'm up in Canada shipping with brokerage, blah blah blah is quite steep, so i opted to get it sent to Ogdensburg, NY to take advantage of Race Deck's free continental shipping. Its only about an hour drive each way and with all the other associated fees calculated i still come out ahead by over $100 (which helps me justify a couple other things). All that being said Saturday morning a buddy and i are driving up to get there for opening and should be back before lunch and installed by early afternoon.

I wonder if it will be like that childhood concept of sleeping with your new shoes on the first night you get them; maybe I'll be sleeping on my new floor, by choice!

I'm very excited for sure, and thanks for the comment!

Well not a big addition tonight to my space but one that definitely helps eliminate an annoyance i had after washing or detailing my car and had nowhere to hang the damp cloths. Soooo useful, can't wait to put it to use.

I sniped this idea from Rick.

Ok Dupper, I can't help myself. Where did you get the towel rack?
I think I have to have one.

Trust me you do. Can't wait to get a cloth wet. Always had a hard time looking for somewhere to drape the damp cloths. Problem solved!

Yes Rick solved my query yesterday and like with everything else i've done in this thread i resolved it and picked it up that night. Also indulged in IKEA's classic $0.75 Hot Dog, for the road back.

Thanks Rick, I will pick one up today.
Althought Dupper, I'm partial to their cinnabun's.

Who's "dupper" btw hahaha j/k.

Yea those (cinnabun's) are my wife's favorite part about the trip there. I was on a mission though so i had no time for lollygagging lol.

$14.99!!! Damn US/Canada price differences lol... I paid $19.99 yesterday. Well done on the cheap but very useful acquisition!

What... no pics yet! Geez :)

Man the peer pressure is rampant here. Just kidding its awesome to share the excitement.

I did however pick up this bad boy tonight. Feels great and i'm excited to be able to put it on the GLI. I think it will go well with the theme of the garage.

Well i finally have the floor in, the moment I (and maybe a few others) have been waiting for....

I could not be happier even if I tried. I absolutely love the overall look feel and function of this Race Deck Free Flow flooring.

Basically the only hiccup that i experienced was ordering based on my builder's specs for our garage. We are about half a foot shorter and about a quarter of a foot less wide which basically translated to changing how i would install near the garage entrance and me saving a whole row of tiles. Now i have lots of spares which i have problem with at all.

I have to admit when i received my sample i wasn't blown away but I think that's the same as holding a paint chip up against a wall your planning on painting, it's hard to put it in perspective and visualize what it can look like. I'm really happy i stuck to my plan and pulled the trigger. Blew me away!!

The whole room came together so well and the floor definitely steals the show.

I was fortunate to have a buddy come with me to pick it up and help with the install which was a huge help.

Wifey and I are celebrating tonight by pumping some tunes, having a couple of drinks and enjoying a cigar to celebrate in there.

And now onto the pics!

EDIT: Thought i might be cool throwing the before pics in to give the transition true perspective. Its come a long way in a couple months.
