It is a great grinder and their customer service is fantastic! When FedEx delivered mine they threw the boxes off their truck with one of them landing on some rebar that I was using in a form for some pillars for my gate. The rebar punctured the box denting the motor cover and breaking the fan on the motor. I called and asked if I could buy the parts since it wasn't their fault. Keven said don’t worry about it and they sent them to me free.

That was a great idea! I may have to copy that! My sister has one of those table size lasers and I wonder if it’s powerful enough to laser engrave mine!Yes, Keven and his business partner Eric are great! When Keven called me to let me know my grinder package was ready I drove over to Oak Hills and did the factory tour and pickup my new grinder. When I got there Keven was just finishing up my grinder since it really is a small family run company, like a lot of them, this one was started in their home garage. Keven showed me around his factory and all the tooling and machines that they use to build the grinders. They even still have the very first grinder that they built! Then Keven was showing me his laser engraving setup and I had an idea, could he custom engrave my work table? Ten minutes later we had this…
After a few months of using it and now in hindsight I’d probably want the zero line closer to the left edge of the belt, but it’s real handy having this engraved right on the work table. And it seems pretty durable.

7 damn belt grinders and YOU need to find a shorter bolt eh?I am stuck with some health issues at the moment which is frustrating as I can’t do much in the shop so I trying to find some small projects to at least feel like I have accomplished something….
I got this magnetic base off of an AWD ( Amazon Warehouse Deal since someone messaged me before what that was ) as I saw this idea but I am not sure if it was here on the GJ or IG etc so my apologies up front for not being able to give you credit.
I took one of those round magnetic base torch stands and converted it to this magnetic base so now I can just turn the magnet off and wipe the base clean of chips.
I need to find a shorter M8 bolt but it works for now.
Correct which is probably why it’s was a used return from Amazon. I was actually referring to the AWD as I used the initials before and someone messaged me asking asking what AWD meant.Probably for a dial indicator or for a light or coolant nozzle...anything you could attach to the shaft.

Ouch and hope it’s healed up by now. Great to have a dog if you have someone to watch/play with him when you want to use your extra Saturdays to travel a bit. Of course why would you travel cause it looks like you’ve found paradise. Thanks for sharing!!
Glad to see you back. Hope everything heals to the better.
Thanks Mike, the back surgeries put me way behind on getting things done but now no pain so I it was a win for the long-term!Duke, sorry to hear of your health issues over the past couple of years. Good to see you are still getting some work done and congratulations on the retirement.
