Here's a recently acquired Dunlap carry box, looks a lot like the one D42Jeep showed back in
Post 85. Nothing really spectacular about it, didn't think to look at the bottom before handing over my hard earned $3. All of the corner protectors are torn or worn off, and a bit of rust down there. The hasp for the lock is gone, and that might need repair, as I'm not sure how much I trust those two little latches to hold it closed under load. But the handle seemed nice under the electrical tape, may try my hand at repairing that. You can see the color difference under the flap. on top (I could, you can't since I didn't get a picture). Gave it a SG spritz and slight delay before wiping, came a bit cleaner.
Not sure this is worth a repaint, seems like the paint is OK everywhere but the bottom, and the tote. Will have to see how much metal is left on the bottom, it may get a metal piece, or some plywood to beef it up, and maybe some new corners. The sides are slightly bent, making the tote a bit of a trick to remove, but nothing major that a couple of clamps or adjustable wrenches won't fix. It's joining the queue behind a Craftsman and a Park on my restoration work.
