I was surprised to see they recommended less thinner for the standard "stops rust" product line. Honestly I don't think it's that critical. I've used various ratios between 5 paint : 2 acetone and 5 paint: 1 acetone. Never any trouble, just see how it shoots through your gun.

I agree , they do say "thin material only if necessary"

So AA7483, I'd say start somewhere in the middle and test it out on some scrap material.

Naphtha works very well as a reducer with Rustoleum, Magic, or Sherwin Williams alkyd paints. I normally use one of these three on my machines and cabinets.

I didn't read the entire thread... possibly this was already dissected...

FIND out if this Rustoleum is the stuff you HAVE to recoat EITHER WELL WITHIN one hour, OR... you have to wait like 48 hours minimum IF you miss that one hour max time window.

Otherwise, you get the Dreaded Rust Oleum Wrinkling.
